More than one third of unwanted birth gift goes to charity

Plan Netherlands started in May last year the action "Babies for Babies www.babysvoorbabys.nl via the website. Through this website, Dutch parents birth order. With every order is a child in India to help a birth certificate. As part of this action plan the Netherlands under Dutch mothers examined the importance of and appreciation for maternity gifts. The survey shows that 88 percent of the mothers sometimes got a baby gift that they are not liked and that more than one third of the 'unwanted' gifts to a charity.

Babywear biggest mistake
The survey, conducted by Direct Research.nl research shows that maternity clothing of all gifts is the biggest mistake: more than half of the mothers received baby clothes she liked or not in the wrong size. Useless toys is in second place when it comes to gifts less successful: almost half disappears into the attic. In women who have one or more children, requires 53 percent for specific gifts, 36 percent have been less inclined to stand to receive gifts. But whether women prefer to receive gifts based on a wish list, more than half the answer is no.
Charity support instead of a baby gift
Almost all women find that when getting a baby gift is especially the gesture. Only 17 percent think it is really important to get a gift at the birth of her child. Almost half of women find it a good idea at the birth of a child to support a charity instead of getting a baby gift. About the same percentage of women think that people around her as well in favor.
Babies for babies
The action 'for Baby's Baby "calls attention to the problem Netherlands Map of unregistered children. In the Netherlands it is obvious that newborn children are registered with the Registry, but in developing countries, this is unfortunately not the case. Every year 50 million children born bijhun not registered. They are therefore not officially, can not claim their rights as citizens and are particularly vulnerable to abuse and exploitation, including trafficking, child labor and forced prostitution. Babies for babies with Plan Netherlands wants as many children register.
Through www.babysvoorbabys.nl prospective parents can order or custom-designed birth announcements. With each order will plan a birth certificate for a child in India. Known as Dutch Ruud de Wild, Claudia and Daphne Bunskoek Breij support 'for Baby's Baby and birth have been designed. Netherlands plans to provide free birth inlay cards from Babies for Babies. The most hours of the inlay cards, the new parents their families and friends involved in the action and more children in India the chance to have a good start.
