Too much sugar in the blood


Millions of people have sweet blood, you have diabetes. This means that their body no longer produces insulin, or no longer responds to the hormone. This has serious consequences. Because insulin normally transports the sugar from food into the cells where it is immediately converted into energy. The absence of these, the permanently elevated blood sugar level long term damage arteries, nerves and kidneys.

Experts distinguish between more than half a dozen different types of metabolic disorders that have different causes. Most often, however, come from diabetes type 1 and type 2 diabetes, which are presented below. Gestational diabetes is also considered.
