Home Tests - How reliable home health tests?

A home test helps you determine if you suffer from certain diseases or in a certain (positive or negative) condition. Home tests are popular because they visit the doctor or specialist redundant (can) make. So ask yourself include testing:

Pregnancy
* STDs (sexually transmitted disease)
* Pfeiffer's disease
Diabetes
* Ovulation / Fertility
* Transition / menopause
* pH
* Gluten intolerance (celiac disease)
* Cholesterol
* Drugs / Alcohol

Note: self-tests are not always 100% reliable ...
Invited - Pregnancy

The home pregnancy test measures the HCG hormone in the morning urine of a woman. The tests are generally easy to implement. You hold a strip in the urine, and after several minutes the result can be read using the color of the strip. Modern pregnancy tests are 99% reliable.

Glandular fever is an acute disease caused by EBV (Epstein-Barr Virus). Pfeiffer with a home test, the antibodies your body produces against the virus in the blood are measured. You bring blood to a test device d.m.v. a tiny prick. After a few minutes you can read the result on the basis of colored dots or dashes. The Pfeiffer-home test is 85% to 90% reliable.
Home Test - STD (sexually transmitted disease)

STDs are sexually transmitted diseases. Examples of STDs and "semi-STDs"are: syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, genital herpes, trichomoniasis, candida, bacterial vaginosis, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV (which may progress to AIDS), genital warts, scabies and pubic lice. For a number of bacterial and viral STDs are home tests have been developed, particularly in the form of blood samples and genital swabs. The tests are usually very reliable (85% to 100%).

There are home tests that you can gauge whether there are traces of alcohol or drugs in your blood to be found. These can be useful when you doubt whether you can drive by law.
