Committed literature: Words to heal Sore

On January 8, 2011: literary event entitled: read committed: Words to heal Sore

Objective:

The aim throughout this meeting is to hear and listen to mostly three writers who have studied in a personal way on some rare diseases that have affected in different ways.

For this purpose, and consequently, questions came spontaneously arise in the preliminary preparation of this meeting as this three figures are from diverse backgrounds.

How successful they authors to disseminate information through their human books?

Writing is it a loophole, a sort of therapy to ward off disease?

How Writing Is she managed to soothe the pain of the sick?

Is it really an outlet?

What is the advantage of selling books? Is it purely commercial? Who profits are donated?

In the first part, the authors present, the disease and explain the role of writing in their fight.

Then, in a second part, we will organize a debate about which writers and the public will share their ideas.

Our goal is to educate the public, to make him understand that writing has a very great benefit to patients is, somewhere, a "crutch" essential.

Target diseases:

We are interested in rare diseases.

We talk, among other things, the Sickle Cell Disease, leukemia and multiple sclerosis.
